The Committee has appointed Study Groups from among its members to undertake the review work and to recommend action by which means supplies might be obtained at reduced costs, especially administrative and stockholding charges.

The initiation of fresh studies into commodities which may prove suitable for joint contracting are pursued where resources are available and member authorities are willing to undertake the work. The Group is continually exploring the arrangements where the aggregation of the Borough wide contracts yield considerable benefits to all LCSG members.
